PITTA

Your constitution is predominantly fire. When balanced, you are warm, adaptable, and cheerful. You are goal oriented person and born leader. If imbalanced you are quite often tot tempered, others say that you are extremely critical and impatient. You may develop skin rashes, allergies, eye problems, ulcers, and diarrhea.

Diet
To bring fire into balance you needs to:

• Consume more bitter and astringent energies in the form of food, aromas, and herbs.
• Avoid hot foods like onions, garlic, and red peppers, fermented or fried foods, and salt.
• Eat every 4 to 5 hours.
• Avoid potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, and chilies as they may cause allergic reactions to both you and your breastfed baby.
• Don’t combine milk with yeasted grains.
• Increase consumption of sweet fruit juices and herbal teas
• Consume cold, heavy, moist, blander foods
• Avoid alcohol and smoking

Massage
Massage your feet, lower back, shoulders and neck, preferably before bed.

Aromatherapy
Cooling aromas like sandalwood, lotus, rose, jasmine, and any white flowers can be used as essential oil, incense, sachet, soap, or candles to calm and refresh.

Color Therapy
Green, sky blue, or white is great to reduce Pitta. Be careful with reds, oranges, yellows, and bright colors.

Gem Therapy
Emerald, jade, moonstone and pearl, blue sapphire and amethyst set in silver are best.
