KAPHA

Your constitution is predominantly water. When balanced, you are loyal and calm by nature. But if imbalanced you may have problems like edema, overweight, sinusitis, or bronchitis.

Diet
To balance Kapha you need to:

• Consume more steamed, light, hot, and dry foods.
• Take herbs to help digest the heavy foods.
• Eat smaller and fewer meals; eat more herbs.
• Breakfast may be skipped, but make sure you have a balanced diet throughout the day.
• Eat pungent, bitter, and astringent foods to reduce excessive water.
• Do not use food as an emotional support. The afternoon cookies may look yummy but are not good for your dosha type.

Oil and Massage
Warm and light oils, such as canola, mustard, flaxseed are better used before going to bed. These oils stimulate and clarify the mind.

Aromatherapy
Frankincense and cedar are best used as incense, soap, sachet, or candles. Or why don’t you have a warm-like bath with a few drops of myrrh, musk and cinnamon.

Color Therapy
Warm, bright colors are preferable, so decorate your home and change your wardrobe with some cheerful-coloured items in yellow, orange, gold, or red. Avoid white or pale shades of blue, green, and pink. Use black, brown, and gray colours in moderation.

Gem Therapy
Ruby, garnet, and cat’s eye set in gold are warming, and therefore, are great for your dosha type.
