Come Travel with Me – /the main act/
Remember my teaser a week ago? You know I love to challenge you, but this time I decided to challenge myself. Something more, I invite you to join me today in my journey. What will we discover? – Please, COME TRAVEL WITH ME!
We are about to go to the beach this weekend, which means a long(er) travel with my 2.5-year old girl never being able to stay still for more than 5mins. How would we all survive her tantrums in the car when she’s screaming to get her out of her car-seat and play outside? Hm… tricky. So let me help you immerse into our summer “travelling-with-my-kid” story.
Beautiful Sunday morning, sunny outside, so we must make the most of our day! I love my daughter’s first smile when she wakes up (this could happen at any time, usually at 7am, so no lazy mornings for me).
We have a tradition to make pancakes every Sunday, so all of us have fun in the kitchen while making them. And eating them, yum!
After a few moments of chaos, when I am trying to get things packed, we are now ready to go. Did I mention we have a brand new car-seat? – It’s the Nautilus 1-2-3 from Graco! Daddy has already installed it for the little princess, and I have to say, he has done a brilliant job, well done! (Well, later on he confessed it was so easy and straightforward, that even daddies can do it! The Intuitive belt routing, the direct-access recline handle and the one-hand adjustable head support makes things easier for everyone!).
We fire up the car and I already can picture the scene in a moment how my girl starts moaning around. Surprisingly she’s happy and being a very good girl!
Initially she was very excited about her new car-seat, but the 5 point harness and the lock-off mechanism have done a brilliant job and this time she won’t be jumping on the back seat! The car-seat is the most reliable and safe I’ve ever come across, so I am feeling less stressed, too.
Soon she forgets about the novelty, feeling as comfortable as if sitting on the sofa at home and I realise this would be the car-seat from now on.
The good thing is that Graco Nautilus grows with your child, as it’s suitable for children from 9 months to 12 years! Yes, that’s right – one car-seat through all these three phases! So comfy and cost-effective! And now that it has become my kid’s favourite car-seat, I don’t need to buy another one! I know we’ve missed this one, but there is a Newborn insert for your little one during phase one. However the height adjustment is something we’ll definitely need to use in a year or so.
What a surprise! - An hour later and my little princess was still feeling happy and sitting patiently in the car. There was a reason for this though – the storage compartments are great invention for long-distance travelling as she kept there some toys and crayons, keeping her distracted and entertained. Also the integrated cup-holder makes her feel independent as she can drink her water whenever she wants.
We had a beautiful day on the beach! Enjoying the share moments is priceless! I am so happy to have found a nautilus. I mean Nautilus, the car-seat from Graco. It made our travel easier and enjoyable for everyone!
