Poor Appetite

Some children may use food to manipulate parents and get attention. If that’s not the case, there are other reasons why a child wouldn’t eat much. Most of these reasons are quite normal and there is no reason to worry about. For example when children do not feel well, they often lose their appetite. Mouth sores can result in loss of appetite, too. Or they could simply have smaller needs for food, especially after becoming 1 year old and their growth pattern changes.  If none of the above reasons are present, you may try to naturally stimulate your child’s appetite

Herbs
Make tea from herbs proven to improve digestion, like fennel, coriander, cardamom, turmeric and ginger.

Ayurvedic herbs to try (for toddlers only):

Vitamin C and other antioxidants may hep as well.

If your child has a prolonged lack of appetite accompanied by weight loss seek professional assistance. Anorexia nervosa and bulimia are problems that shouldn't be overlooked in older children and adolescents.
